Honey Gourami
The nano gourami that's everything the Dwarf Gourami isn't — peaceful, healthy, and FREE from the deadly DGIV iridovirus. That warm honey-gold body, that gentle temperament, that small 4-5 cm size. Complete guide: why Honey Gouramis are THE best gourami for nano and community tanks, and why they should never be confused with the genetically doomed Dwarf Gourami.

🍯 Honey vs Dwarf Gourami — The Healthy Choice
Honey Gouramis are FAR healthier than Dwarf Gouramis. They do NOT carry the DGIV iridovirus (which kills ~25% of Dwarf Gouramis), they're significantly more peaceful, and they stay smaller (4-5 cm vs 8 cm). If you want a small gourami for a community or nano tank, buy a Honey Gourami, not a Dwarf Gourami. Males turn a deep honey-orange with a black throat when breeding. They're bubble-nest builders like all gouramis. Best kept in pairs or a small group (1M:2-3F) in a 38L+ tank.
