📖 About the Nebelung
The Nebelung (German for "creature of the mist," pronounced NAY-bel-ung) was created by Cora Cobb in the 1980s, crossing a Russian Blue with a longhaired black cat. The result: a cat with the Russian Blue's shimmering silver-tipped blue coat — but LONG. TICA recognized them in 1997. They remain exceptionally rare. Inherits the Russian Blue's remarkable health — virtually no breed-specific genetic diseases, 15-20 year lifespan. Same reserved personality: shy with strangers, fiercely devoted to their chosen person. Same silver-tipped coat, but long and flowing. Emerald green eyes.
